SOMETIMES WE FORGET

I REMEMBER...
  • when I first met my husband ( I was with my then boyfriend, Justin Hulse :) ha!)
  • when he would sweep me off my feet at school and SQUEEZE me in a tight hug
  • giving him rides home after school and being late for work EVERYDAY because he was making me laugh so hard with tears streaming down my face.
  • the 101 break-ups THAT I BROUGHT to pass (stupid me)
  • when his baby sister was born
  • leaving him to move away to BYU. That's the day I realized I loved him
  • the anxiety of coming back home for the weekend to see him
  • the feeling when I would see him for the first time after five long days at college
  • breaking his heart one-too-many times, and HIM finally breaking MINE
  • walking home from his house in the snow, on my birthday, so he could be with "her"
  • I DON'T REMEMBER us getting back together for the last time but at some point it happened because I DO REMEMBER...
  • going ring shopping
  • wearing my ring sometimes even before we were engaged because it is so dang pretty
  • dying my blond hair, dark brown to surprise him
  • rushing around the mall twenty minutes before it closed because we forgot we needed to find clothes for our engagement pictures the next day
  • laying on the couch together (in front of my roommate) all googly-eyed because we were getting married in a few days
  • the stupid decisions we made, the fights, the rough time, and all the HAPPY HAPPY previous memories that over-power all that.
For some reason today I can't stop thinking about how crazy in love we ACTED back then. I (we) still FEEL it today, but life has a cruel way changing things.

But don't worry because***DANG BABY
I love you!***

NO TIME TO CARE

I care if my house is clean...who doesn't. But, quite frankly, I don't have the time and I have higher priorities (I'm morphed into my mom who did many more important things clean everyday).

This is what I do or SHOULD do-in no particular order:

1-Take care of Charlie 65 hrs/week (IF he goes to bed at eight and doesn't wake up again until seven which is rare).
2-Take care of all finances and bills
3-Clean 1800 sq. ft of house
4-Laundry
5-Prepare and cook meals
6-Make a shopping list and buy food
7-Take care of cars: clean them, take for needed repairs and oil changes
8-Make all necessary phone calls
9-Attend class 12.5 hrs/week
10-Do 7-10 hours of homework/week
11-Work at Utah Community Credit Union 4 hrs/week
12 Work at Golds Gym 9 hrs/week
13-Think about and make plans for the future
14-Notice and take care of any house problems
15-Make and keep track of all appointments
16-Plan and teach primary

When I made the list for myself on paper a couple days ago it had 26 items...I took some out due to redundancy, embarrassment, or triviality. I feel a little more calm looking at this list.

Blonde vs Brunette

JP has been begging me to go brown again. I used to go back and forth a lot but definitely spent more time as a blonde...MUCH MORE FUN! I havent had it dark since the wedding, almost three years ago. Do I do it for the hubby?????????????

P.S. I made this post and never posted it (char was probably pulling at my leg or something) so I have since made the decision to go brown-its dark!!

P.P.S. I will put up pics of my bare-walled house when JP mows the lawn.

108 DAYS

I haven't posted in 108 days. After missing quite a bit of time I felt so much pressure to update that it overwhelmed me so.....I just didn't and 108 days went by. A few high/lowlights:
  1. We own a house
  2. Charlie is well over ONE YEAR OLD and walking
  3. Jp's cousin is living with us for a bit and I'm LOVING it/her
  4. I have found an inner meanness I never knew I had...I've always been a people pleaser but man some people need to grow up
  5. I'm gaining some lbs blah
  6. Charlie and I watched our first firework show together at which Char was not in the womb.
  7. We have a baby, beagle puppy to complement the new house (100% outside dog 'cause that's just nasty)
  8. I am in decorating heaven
  9. We became super, super poor within a matter of days (buying a house+paycheck decrease...awesome)
  10. I've realized I'm getting old and uncool
  11. Charlie says "ocky" (rocky the puppy) about every 10 seconds
  12. Charlie wears shoes now :) Ha, I never used to put shoes on him
  13. We found out that both my brother's wives are having babies this winter. WOOOOO!
  14. I am jealous of pregnant girls. I enjoyed it so much but am NOT ready for another little Char Char
  15. We have spent days and days at seven peaks soaking up the sun rays
  16. I began my reporting class and will be on KBYU news every Thursday at noon-I've hit the big time.
  17. We are going camping tomorrow for the first time this summer...BABY FREE
  18. We like each other

HOT PINK AND BLACK

It's my blog and I'll brag if I want to (la la la la)

No, in all reality I just LOVED every minute of making this bridal bouquet (except that it took me hours because of a certain baby CRAWLING ALL OVER me). I added a small piece of lace to tie in the vintage style dress

I want to make more!
brides?!-Any takers?!

WATER, WATER, BABIES, AND MORE WATER

One of my favorite things...WATER!-wakeboarding, tubing, swimming, jumping on the tramp with a sprinkler, slip N slide etc. etc. It was definitely a water filled weekend and I found out that my baby C LOVES water as well (phew!).

I work at the Gold's Gym daycare and a couple friends I met there suggested the three of us take off to St. George with our babies.

We stayed in a LARGE-BEAUTIFUL condo (for free), and swam in the 95 degree weather for two days straight.

Right after we got back this afternoon Charlie saw the sprinklers on wanted to crawl through....so I let him of course. I guess he hadn't had enough water yet

Baby O, C, and J chillin' at the condo

COOLEST park ever

Our scenery for hours upon hours

He thoroughly enjoyed splashing and getting his face wet (pardon the sideways clip).

Me and Charlie's room

Charlie LOVED chasing after the other two boys. They are both older than Charlie but they all had a blast jabbering away in baby talk, running/crawling everywhere, and "sharing" toys. Charlie would laugh and laugh watching them. I think he needs a sibling around....NAH!

The sprinkler experience-He is soaked if you can't tell

If that's not enough, he couldn't wait for the bath water either. Here he is freaking me out-leaning WAY over the tub.

ITS A FIRST

Charlie got his first hair cut by my adorable [pregnant :)] friend Dani. His hair is SO thin but SUPER long and whispy-seriously like 5 inches long on top-.

Rewarded with his FIRST sucker
Ok, ok so it wasn't his first hair cut. A few days before I tried to trim it myself. It turned out miserably ugly, uneven, blunt, and embarrassing. JP kindly suggested I give the salon a try.
